Last night was the last event on the social calendar for this school year (barring results day in August, of course) - we had our leavers' prom.

Despite the food (not good) and the music (also not good), it actually turned out to be a pretty cool night. It's made me realise just how much I will miss people - for me, it's easy to focus on the people I won't think about again (and there are many of those), but yet there are a great deal of people whose company I've really enjoyed over these past two years. When I first arrived at 6th form, I wasn't sure how easy I'd find it to make new friends and get along with people, but it's safe to say I made the right decision, and I'm really glad it worked out how it did.

But now everyone is going their separate ways, and even though it may not seem this way, we're all approaching adulthood at a frightening pace!

I'm hoping that, in writing these posts, I'll keep in contact with the people I care about, and perhaps entice a few into coming over to Belgium and staying for a few days. I guess I'm just realising the value of the people I have around me, right at the moment when they'll be furthest away.

Pic: Me, last night, and the beautiful (?) award I won.. No expense spared here!
